The group of bioinspired autonomous miniature robots at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart is developing an active stiffness control strategy for soft robots. By integrating materials with tunable stiffness properties and AI algorithms, this project aims to revolutionize the stiffness control capabilities of soft robots. This adaptability empowers the robots to autonomously respond to various environmental conditions and tasks, thereby expanding their functionality and effectiveness. Now we have several student assistant positions open for this project.
